Gentle Chi® uses repetitive calming movements and breathing exercises to help strengthen the nervous system and support general health and well-being. The progressive nature of the program allows you to adjust the movements to meet your own physical abilities and limitations. Gentle Chi supports positive lifestyle changes on all levels (physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually) and can help achieve balance and equilibrium in your life. Ultimately, the training is designed to bring about a sense of inner peace that can form the basis of how to relate with inner calm no matter what the outer circumstances.

Gentle Chi uses the healing side of the martial arts, such as t’ai chi and chi gung as well as yoga to help provide exercises and meditaition in support of improving health outcomes and healthy lifestyle choices. It was developed by Paul Keller, Founder and President of The American Shorin-ryu Karate Association (ASKA), a non-profit organization dedicated to the growth, teaching and advancement of the martial arts and its beneficial healing and wellness applications.

Gentle Chi has been successfully implemented with very positive results for acute and chronic care patients recovering from substance abuse.

Our Mission within Gentle Chi® is to help people help themselves in achieving life balance.

Ultimately the advanced training is designed to bring about a sense of inner peace and calm. It is our mission to help train and certify Gentle Chi® instructors so they can bring this helpful work into their lives and into the lives of others.
